Richard Ensor F.C.A
Richard trained as a Chartered Accountant with J A Kinnear & Co, (now Grant Thornton), where his father worked for 35 years and his brother David also trained and qualified. Richard qualified in 1980 and was appointed an audit manager in 1981 and a partner in 1984. In 1987 Richard decided to leave J A Kinnear & Co to set up his own accountancy practice. Richard is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ireland and oversees the firm’s tax work and has extensive experience of tax planning and compliance for individuals and businesses. Richard also manages a considerable commercial practice dealing with the establishment and structure of businesses, both companies and partnerships, with a particular emphasis on the property sector. Richard is married to Hazel, and has two children, Rachel and William. William joined the practice in 2020. Richard is involved in a number of charitable organisations including, Mercer’s Hospital Foundation, The Salvation Army and St. John Ambulance.
Richard Twomey F.C.A
Richard trained in BCC Chartered Accountants, having qualified as an A.C.A. during his time at the firm. He later progressed to position of audit manager and worked in a Top 10 firm, before joining Richard Ensor & Co. in 2012 to manage the practice audit client portfolio. He became a partner of the firm in 2018.
Richard has a thorough knowledge of accounting, audit and corporate taxation, having worked in all of these areas for over 15 years. He has experience in a range of manufacturing and wholesale industries, construction, aviation leasing, investment companies, special purpose vehicles (SPVs) and non-profit organisations. He provides advice to clients regarding Corporation tax matters and has experience in handling a variety of Revenue audits. He also oversees the practice company secretarial services and anti-money laundering compliance.
William Ensor A.C.A ACCA CTC
William was working in an American multinational hedge fund accounting company before joining Richard Ensor & Co. in 2020 and has experience dealing with clients with assets under management of over a billion US dollars.
In Williams spare time he studied and qualified as as an ACCA and in December 2019, William was awarded with 1st place in Ireland and 11th globally in the ACCA Advanced Auditing and Assurance exam.
Since starting with Richard Ensor & Co. William has begun working on audits, company accounts, corporation tax returns, company secretarial, Anti-money laundering and payroll.

Louise Tracey C.T.A
Louise trained in Tynan Dillon Chartered Accountants, where she qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser. She joined Richard Ensor & Co. in 2016 , managing a significant portion of the tax advisory work of the firm. This work includes providing guidance and preparation of tax returns related to inheritance, investments, corporate restructuring and other complex Income tax and VAT issues. Louise’s assignments involve continuous and extensive research, which is why clients view her as a valuable resource they can place a great deal of reliance upon. Louise also oversees the practice payroll services and is considered to be the firm’s point of contact for changes in payroll guidance.
